What is a notice?

What is XMPP and how do I use it?

XMPP is the technology behind instant messaging programs such as Google Talk. LaTwit can use XMPP to receive IM messages directly into the Public or Friends timeline views. You can use this to track keywords, and then anytime a notice is submitted with the keywords you specified, it shows up instantly in your timeline. See the Help page for more information.

Can I have a single notice go to multiple sites?

Yes, when you send a notice, all accounts that you have set the "Send Posts" option on will receive the noice. NOTE: If you are replying to a notice, the reply will only go to the service that the original notice is from. The notice box displays the number of accounts that the new notice will be sent to.

How do I reply to a notice?

You can reply to a notice by tapping the @ symbol in the upper right hand corner of each notice. On the profile page, you can also reply to the active notice by tapping the @ symbol below the users avatar. A "Reply" indicator will display at the bottom of the notice box.
